Westnet Phone Product Manager
Andrew first began with Westnet way back in 1999 when Westnet was based in Geraldton, Western Australia. Starting off in Technical Support, Andrew epitomized the ability to move through departments as he soon went to Sales, then on to Accounts, Debt Collection (Credit), Product Manager within the Marketing team and just recently onto his new role as Project manager. Andrew helped the Phone product develop from Long Distance into the complete Full Phone service we offer today- as well as investigating new avenues for the future. Andrew is a great example of the opportunities every staff member has to move through different roles and offer as much as possible with the company.
We asked him what he enjoys most about coming to work each day...
The friendly staff and management team and the variety my role gives me. Westnet has a great culture where everyone seems to get along as friends, and that makes it a pleasure to come to work.
Why would you recommend Westnet as a place to work?
It’s pretty simple, I tell people if they want to work for a growing company who hasn’t forgotten what the true assets are, that being the staff, then they should work for Westnet.
We are in a service industry and, as important as the network that links all of our customers together is, it’s the staff that really makes the company. Westnet has never lost sight of that. They are basically a great bunch to work for.
