Westnet Broadband - What do I need?

To get your Westnet Broadband up and running, you will need:

  • A broadband plan
    Choose from our Westnet Broadband2+ or Broadband1 plans or get help choosing a plan that suits your needs. Every Westnet Broadband plan comes with 10 free email addresses, 1GB webspace, anti-spam & anti-virus and award-winning customer service.
  • A phone line
    You will need a working phone line to your house, so your broadband modem (or router) can connect to the internet. If you combine Phone Optima or Phone Premium with Westnet Broadband, you'll receive extra quota for your monthly download allowance.
  • A broadband modem or router
    This is the box that connects you to the internet via your phone line. If you have a broadband connection with another provider, you may already own a modem you can bring over. Otherwise, order one of ours, and we'll send you a setup CD to help you get online.
  • A central filter
    A filter plugs into your phone so your internet stays connected, even when you make phone calls. We'll send you one of these with any Westnet modem or router you purchase.

Already with another provider but want to join Westnet?

  1. Do not cancel your current Broadband service.
  2. View our current Westnet Broadband2+ or Broadband1 plans.
  3. Sign up online for your chosen Broadband plan or call Westnet Sales on 13 19 60.
  4. We will then transfer your Broadband service, and notify you when this is complete.
  5. Once you hear from us, please contact your previous ISP to advise of the change.
