As announced in June, iiNet has embarked on a exciting new project to rollout its own infrastructure to service our broadband customers. Have a look at our rollout schedule - we are pleased to report progress is on schedule with the August exchanges already migrated on to the new equipment. The next two exchanges will be deployed in the next two weeks.
Initial customer feedback has been very positive and our Customer Service Centre has been working closely with customers to ensure a smooth, seamless move from our existing wholesale provider to the feature-rich Ericsson equipment.

Name: Breigh Donald
Title: HR Administration Officer
How long have you been with iiNet/ ihug? 4 months
What does your role involve?
I am responsible for maintaining all personal files and helping in the 'Follow the Sun' staff exchange program between ihug and iiNet staff. I also assist in the recruitment of staff, new staff inductions and training for our Customer Service staff.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Coming from a psychology background, I enjoy the recruitment aspect of HR, including the interviewing and selection process. I work with a great team that works together to ensure that all staff at iiNet are happy within their working environment. I also like seeing the results of our training program as iiNet staff use their skills to better serve our customers.
Where do you think iiNet will be in five years time?
Hopefully we will continue to expand internationally to become a world-class ISP which is renowned for its products and excellent customer service.

Name: Rick McDowell
Account Type: Explorer, but considering broadband
Customer Since: 1998 (although he was a member of Wantree for several years before that). Rick may just be one of our longest-serving customers!
Rick takes photos of modified cars and writes feature articles for a range of local and international car magazines. He said this about the photo (right): "Sometimes in life you need to have a laugh at your own expense..."
So tell me more about your photography...
"My interest in motoring started when I was really young, as it's in the family! After coming to Australia in 1986 I had my first article published in a national magazine in 1988. My pictures have now been published on the front page of magazines in Spain, Sweden, the UK, Germany and Italy."
What is your primary use of the internet?
"I use the Internet for research for my photo shoots. For example, if there's a car that I'm going to be shooting I will go and look up the brand of rods, pistons, turbo, etc and look up other details on products."
When did you start using the internet?
"It was back in 1996, when ISPs were still giving out floppy disks to boot up a new internet connection! For some reason I still have those old floppy disks and the manual!"
How did you become an iiNet member?
"After being a Wantree member for several years I decided to stay with iiNet when they merged, as they have good service and a good reputation. If I went with a smaller ISP they would have gone belly-up by now, whereas iiNet never seems to have major problems!"
Check out Rick's website!

When calling our Customer Service Centre please have your username and password ready, as it's usually the first question they will ask when helping you.

I am trying to forward my email to another address, but it's not working. What can I do?
If you are trying to forward your mail to another email address, you must first toggle the 'Spam tagging' selection so that it is off. Simply visit the Toolbox to make the change.
I have recently updated my password. Will this affect my email?
Now that you have changed your password with iiNet, you will need to update some of the applications on your computer that use your password. Go to the support page and follow the simple instructions.
3. I'm thinking about making the change to broadband, is there anything I should do before I contact iiNet?
You should visit the ADSL Demand Register to see if broadband is available on your phone line. If it is, call us and we'll get the ball rolling.

For all you iiNet enthusiasts who like to live the high life, we've got you covered this month!

After Jenna is humiliated at her birthday party she makes an earnest wish to be all grown up and have the life she's always wanted. Miraculously, her wish comes true. The next day, when Jenna awakes from her sleep, it's 2004 and she's 30-years old...

This month's hints are for Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for PS2 and Xbox.
1. Completely Hide Bodies - If you leave bodies unhidden guards will eventually find them and sound an alarm. To hide the bodies, pick them up and move them to a shadow area. Your light meter will flash when it is safe to drop the body.
2. Projectile Knock Out - To knock people unconscious from afar, equip the SC-20K rifle and the Sticky Cam subweapon. If you hit an enemy in the head with the Sticky Cam they'll automatically drop unconscious. You can pick up used Sticky Cams and use them over and over again.
3. Annoy Lambert - When you begin the first level (Dili, Timor) you will start off in the water. Now just sit there, or run around in the water, but don't progress through the level. After 15 seconds after Lambert stops briefing you, he will ask you what you are doing. 15 more seconds after you reply, he makes another comment. And another 15 seconds left, he tells you to get moving because lives are at stake. Now you are free to continue your game.
