Technical Support Consultants - Casual

Westnet is one of Australia's leading Telecommunication Providers specialising in Broadband, Dialup, Hosting and Phone services for business and residential markets. Our strong focus on providing award-winning customer service has resulted in continued growth and expansion. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service professionals to join our Technical Support Team.

As a member of the Technical Support Team you will be responsible for:
  • Providing quality phone support to our customers, answering their internet, ADSL, dial-up, phone and other queries; and
  • Answering, logging , troubleshooting and escalating calls as appropriate;
As a casual employee your hours will vary between 4am - 1am Monday to Sunday.
You will be required to work a minimum 12 hours a week, with shifts varying in length from 4-8 hours.

To be successful in this role you should possess the following:
  • Previous call centre/customer service experience 6 months plus;
  • A good understanding of internet, ADSL and dial up;
  • Technical skills and knowledge including – Microsoft Windows, TCP/IP, DSL technologies, Dial-Up, Modem, Internet mail, outlook express;
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills;
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal;
  • Proficient typing skills;
  • Flexible in working hours
  • A passion for people.
