Number 1 ISP
Westnet is voted Australia’s Number 1 ISP for the second consecutive time - 17th ACNielsen Consult Australian Online Survey*
Once again, Westnet has been voted Australia’s number one Internet Service Provider in customer satisfaction.
According to the results of the prestigious 17th ACNielsen Consult Australian Online Survey, Westnet customers are the most satisfied broadband and dialup users in Australia. Earlier in 2004 Westnet was also voted number one ISP in Australia in customer satisfaction in the 16th ACNielsen Consult Australia Online Survey.
“We are pleased that this is the second consecutive time Westnet has been voted the number one ISP in overall customer satisfaction in Australia. This means that customers recognise and appreciate the effort that goes into the ongoing development of Westnet’s customer service” says Mr Peter Brown, Westnet Managing Director.
The survey showed that 99% of Westnet’s Broadband members were satisfied with their Internet service, with 59% being extremely satisfied. Furthermore, 90% of Dialup members expressed that they are satisfied with their Internet service, with 51% being extremely satisfied.
Westnet has grown at a remarkable rate in 2004 to over 86,000 members. The number of broadband customers more than tripled in 2004 to over 30,000 which makes Westnet 7th largest Broadband DSL provider in Australia.
Notwithstanding the growth the company experienced in 2004, it has been able not only to retain high levels of customer satisfaction but also to improve on them. “All 176 staff working at Westnet take customer service very seriously and uphold our motto that “Its service that sets us apart”” said Mr Brown.
The trend is set to continue in 2005. Westnet looks at further strengthening its position in the broadband market by maintaining its top value ADSL plans and tapping into new programs such as HiBIS and Broadband for Health.
“We think it’s important to continually develop services available to our customers. As part of this strategy we are always seeking out opportunities to offer our services to new markets. We see HiBIS and Broadband for Health as a good way to offer better value to Internet users in regional Australia and the medical market.“ said Mr Brown.
