* Maximum speeds for Boost plans are dependant on how far you live from the local telephone exchange, configuration and quality of your phone line, quality of your ADSL modem and line filter, the number and type of services being used in your neighbourhood, interference from outside sources, your computer's hardware and software set up, and the configuration of any computer you are trying to access. Speeds range from 1.5Mbps/256kbps to 8Mbps/384kbps.
Download Allowance Peak (10am - 2am)/Off-Peak (2am - 10am) Broadband1 Important Information Hide Broadband1 Important Information ¹ Any excess downloads on Starter Option 1 plans will be charged at 10c/MB and will be capped at $30.00 (maximum monthly spend $49.95 for bundled customers and $54.95 for unbundled customers). Speed is reduced to 64kbps/64kbps once you have reached your monthly cap. Option 1 plans are not eligible for free traffic. All other plans have no set download limit. Speed is reduced to 64kbps/64kbps once the Monthly Allowance is reached. Shaping provides full access to the internet at a reduced speed of your ADSL service. Alternatively, you can choose to pay $6 per GB for excess downloads and access the internet at full speed. Please note: New members must select their excess option i.e. shaping or $6/GB, during the signup process. Existing members can view and/or change their current excess options online at MyAccount. All members except 256kbps Option 1 members please note that Westnet Neighbourhood traffic is not charged for or affected by shaping and will continue at full speed. Please note: Peak and Off-Peak times for members in the Northern Territory correspond with Peak and Off-Peak times for members in South Australia. Peak and Off-Peak times may start and finish earlier for members in the Northern Territory in instances where South Australia switches to Central Daylight Time.
