About our VPN service

Our VPN service is supplied and managed by PowerTel who owns and operates the third largest fixed fibre-optic telecommunications network and is one of the largest alternative DSL networks in Australia.

Utilising PowerTel infrastructure enables Westnet to guarantee the availability of the service with an SLA of 99.9% for the VPN service. As data is not carried over the internet, the PowerTel VPN service is completely secure. PowerTel VPN's have been successfully integrated with ISDN, FRAME and other technologies, so if ADSL is not available at all of your offices, you can still take advantage of the VPN using other technologies. No additional software needs to be installed on individual PC's. The router is the single point of authentication and only requires the one login for all PC's located on your network.

  • Please allow a minimum of 21 working days for service connection to be completed (unless otherwise notified). Connection time is also dependant on port availability

Private IP VPN Account information

  • IP VPN pricing includes Silver QoS (Quality of Service) which ensures that packets are sent and received in the correct priority order. A Subnet 4 (/30) is also included in the price of the IP VPN connection. All data in the IP VPN is unlimited and included in the monthly fee for the connection.
