As soon as you successfully transfer the call, your line becomes free and available to take calls. Plus, you can transfer an incoming call to another service that is still ringing and join two calls in a three-way conference call.

Transferred calls are charged at the standard ISDN rates. You are charged for the duration of the transferred call until that call is completed.
