Westnet extends City Internet plans

Tuesday 10 April 2001

The old adage of having to pay more for your Internet service due to your remote location is now a thing of the past. People living anywhere in WA can access Westnet's award winning Internet plans for the cost of an un-timed local call.

Managing Director of Westnet, Peter Brown, announced today that Westnet would for the first time offer the Unlimited Standard Plan across the state at a single rate. This plan is available for a flat fee of $44 a month with unlimited download and access time.

Westnet now offers all customers across WA a range of Internet services, from basic dial up access through to high-speed broadband access, regardless of where they live. Communities who previously paid STD rates for their Internet service can now take advantage of Westnet's reliable high-speed service at local call connection costs, he said. Local agents are conveniently located in most regional WA towns to assist customers in selecting the right Westnet plan to suit their needs.
