Westnet boosts content with free English Premier League and more

Westnet has today launched Westnet Freezone, a combination of Westnet and iiNet unmetered websites and exclusive content for eligible Broadband ADSL plans.

This is a great benefit for Westnet members stemming from the acquisition of Westnet by iiNet in May this year, and helps Westnet members enjoy more premium content without it consuming their download allowance. iiNet have recently made Westnet's 3FL gaming content available as unmetered to their customers and Westnet plans to continue in this vein to bring benefits of the combined companies to life.

New content now available to Westnet members includes:

  • 2008/09 Barclays Premier League,
  • Macquarie Digital,
  • NASA TV, and
  • various sports, gaming and lifestyle content.

This new content is offered in addition to existing free Westnet content (3FL gaming, and a file and download mirror).

Westnet's Marketing Manager Dan Scott commented: "We are extremely pleased to be able to give members access to more premium content without it impacting their download allowance. We see Freezone as just one of many positive outcomes to come from the teaming up of iiNet and Westnet,"
