Westnet moves into mobile with new contract free plans

Westnet, regional Australia's largest Internet service provider, has now 'gone mobile' with the release of contract free mobile phone plans for members wanting to keep in touch, while on the move.

The post-paid, residential mobile plans at $10, $20 and $40 per month offer generous call allowances, included Internet data and unmetered access to social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and LinkedIn. Members will also receive automatic call usage notifications to help avoid unexpected charges and potential bill shock.

Michael Malone, Chief Executive Officer at Westnet, said the mobile plans are the latest service to be offered to Westnet members and are perfect for those who want to keep in touch with friends and family while they are out and about.

'Customer feedback was crucial during the development of our mobile plans. We asked what was important in a mobile offering and we've responded with unmetered social networking, call usage notifications and great value monthly plans, minus the binding contract,' Mr Malone said.

'With almost three hours of talk time included in our $10 monthly plan, it compares favourably with our competitors, plus you will receive the same great customer service as you do with all your other Westnet services.
