BoB Speeds into Wollongong

28th May 2010

Westnet, Australia's leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) for customer service, has just upgraded its network in Wollongong, meaning residents can now access Westnet's super-fast broadband2+ plans that come with loads of extras.

With speeds of up to 20Mbps, Westnet's Broadband2+ Pro plans feature a much faster transmission of data, voice and video over the Internet for new and existing customers.

"We're very excited to be upgrading our network in an area like Wollongong, bringing competition, better service and value to local residents. The best part is that we're now able to offer BoB™ to go with our broadband2+ plans, making home communications even simpler," says Dan Scott, Westnet's Advertising and Promotions Manager.

BoB™ is an all-in-one communications hub that features plug-and-play internet and phone, plus loads of the latest technology (including compatibility with set-top boxes, USB storage and gaming consoles); a popular addition to the Westnet product range.

"At Westnet, we're all about connecting people to their family and friends, which can be costly wherever you live, especially in regional Australia. By teaming one of our broadband2+ plans with BoB™ and Netphone, you'll get cheap phone calls, useful technology and reliable internet in one simple package.

Westnet is all about providing an alternative choice to regional consumers and we hope they'll like what they see." adds Mr Scott.

Westnet's Broadband2+ Pro plans also come with a range of extra bells and whistles, including access to a huge range of unmetered content via the Westnet Freezone - Apple iTunes, Freezone Kids, Barclay's Premier League, Xbox LIVE, ABC iView and Investec Super 14's Rugby, 3FL Games - none of which count towards your monthly download limits.

Businesses can also benefit from the upgrade, as they can now access a new range of plan options, including tailored Business and Hosting packages designed to suit specific business needs.
Westnet's Broadband2+ Pro plans come with a minimum of 2GB on-peak and 2GB off-peak quota for as little as $29.95 a month with bundling options available, offering excellent value for money.

"Westnet has an honest commitment to outstanding customer service, proven by the recent results of Whirlpool's 2009 Australian Broadband User Survey, which dubbed Westnet the best Australian ISP for customer satisfaction for the 7th year running."
